Description
We have made a family decision to sell our uncle Fred's 1903 World Series Baseball and his personal family scrapbook kept by his sisters. We hope and pray this goes to a Ty Cobb and Hanas Wagner fan. These were friends of the family and Fred's best friends. The ball was given to Fred from the first world series game to keep him with Pittsburgh. The ball can be challenge by critics but we know what was always told. The ball was traced back to 1906 and no one can say it didn't come from the 1st world series. The scrapbook has articals and post cards dating back to 1903. Sold seperate would make more money, but we want everything kept together. Fred is in the 1st word series team pictures and is in the baseball hall of fame. He was Ty Cobbs roomate in 1923. Hanas Wagner was a close family friend as well. The scrapbook has 66 pages of original news paper articles with dates on them. There is a picture with Ty Cobb(see photos). He is also in the Detroit Tigers hall of fame and there was a special day they flew my mother who was last living relative to a player in the first world series. There was three girls and one boy, Fred in the Carisch family and only my grandmother Alice Carisch had one daughter Virginia, my mother. There were no other nieces or nephew. So she was Fred's pride and joy. We had other articals of his and Ty Cobbs but we donated them to the baseball hall of fame. The money we raise on the ball will go to pay for college for Virgina's four grand-daughters all athletes which was so important to Fred. Iwould prefer to hand deliver these items if possible to know they get to the real person who will cherish them.
